I’ve always called skateboarding rolling yoga so it’s nice to see other skaters achieving zen too.
Only one person can calm you – that’s you. And yes only one person can upset you – that’s you – there are haters everywhere but they can only upset you if you give them power to.
I never said I was good at geography and sometimes the guesses I make about where people are skating are far off.
Why did I think resolve.and.evolve aka Caroline was skating in Wyoming? I really don’t know, but what’s good is she answered me back. She’s skating in Montreal Quebec and encourages all her girls to get on a board!
I’ve only ever skated in Canada but I dream of cruising around the world in my future! I stared skating in my hometown of Ottawa Ontario and now I ride the mean streets of Montreal Quebec. I’m always looking for other ladies who longboard or skate and I encourage every lady to give it a try! I actually often get stopped by other girls who just want to tell me they like my grip tape and then I often end up asking them if they want to give it a try! Also I actually snapped my femur in half longboarding drunk so I’m always warning people about the dangers – Caroline
Even if my geography never improves this blog is one of the best things that ever happened to me. Plus it’s educational – love how Caroline shared her mistake so we won’t make the same one.
And if you can believe this Caroline is a Pastry Chef – yet again another reason for me to skate in Canada.
By the way the largest city in Wyoming – Cheyenne is 2,569 km from Montreal, Quebec – which is only 1,596 miles – at least it was right continent.
And I’m almost back from vacation – in the Washington DC airport now ✈️

so now I’m sure Marie has style both on & off any board!
Life happens – we all fall – and believe me I don’t like falling. Style is when you get back up & super style is when you can laugh at yourself as you’re getting back up!

If the ramp looks big, it’s because it is! According to the web it’s 83 feet wide and 13.3 feet tall with two feet of vert – with such a smooth and solid ramp, tricks are easier and airs are bigger.
Best part about this post is I found Ash because someone else tagged me. Why tag me – because he knows I blog about girls skateboarding – all girls, any board, any skill, all over the world.

Megan has been skateboarding since she was 12. It was always hard for me because in my town I was the only girl around really trying. It took a long time for me to say “Fuck what other dudes think I’m here to skate” and that’s what I say to any girl wanting to learn. Doesn’t matter how old you are of if you’re a girl, skateboarding is for everyone and fuck anyone who thinks different. Do it for fun. – Megan
I agree with Megan 110%. I skateboard for fun – let go of what others think of you, yes even if they share it with you. And I know that’s hard because no one likes to be bullied.
But if you quit skateboarding or quit anything else because of what others think & say – you’re not living your life. Define yourself!
I’m leaving on vacation so depending on my internet the posts may or may not be daily. Keep sharing your pictures & stories because more girls skateboard when they see stylish girls skating & get encouragement.
This week’s LIT Leader in Training Adventure – didn’t start off as expected. I got sick, sent home and only went for 2 days.
I love my other LITs (aka the Green Shirts) & the Red Shirts.
And most of all I love the campers. If you haven’t heard I started out as a camper.
And way back then there were 3 girls in the skate camp – an all time high! This week lots of girls.
I want to be friends with my fellow skateboarders and camp gives you the time to get to know people & make friends. Now I know it’s in the rules that you’re not supposed to get attached to your campers – but I think that must be for the red shirts or blue shirts not for me.
Two years ago I met Gui and now I get to watch him skate around the world and celebrate his being the youngest to land a 720.
He was always a better skater & it’s because of him I even drop in on a vert ramp or looked up where in the world Brazil is.

His enthusiasm is contagious & that’s what I love about so many of the campers – they come with this “can do” attitude. And by Friday they are doing – here’s a video from the 6/15/16 Lunch Show
So maybe the LITs are the ones wearing the Green Shirts, but I think the real leaders in skate camp are the kids because they lead us back to what skateboarding is really about – having fun & believing you can land that trick.
I hope that years from now I’ll still be friends & still be learning from my campers. Another example where age is just a number – it’s the vibe that matters – me with Kirra.
