Skate Like a Girl’s 7th Annual Wheels of Fortune

Skate Like a Girl hosted their 7th Annual Wheels of Fortune in Seattle this past weekend.  May 6 – 8th 2016 the city of Seattle & world saw #girlscanskate.

Just how many girls were there in Seattle?  From Tara (Arbor Girls)  group shots we see a tons of girls participated during the weekend.

From Moniz – I see the Minna came from Northern California, Emma also from California and from Florida Meagan.

Kendra made it to Seattle from Texas and got 3rd in intermediate.

I miss #wof7 so bad!!!!    I got 3rd in intermediate!!!   There were so many girl skaters I was so freaking happy to go!

Wahines of the Waves

The Wahines of the Waves is an all girls board sports club at the University of Florida.  They strive to spread stoke, have fun, & shred on.

I love their attitude and I’m grateful blemboard hooked them up with boards.   I believe in karma so I see good things in the future for the Wahines of the Waves & blemboard.

The Wahines of the Waves surf and snowboard too – here’s a few more pictures of them skateboarding.  Keep sharing your pictures of skateboarding because more girls do skate when they see stylish girls skateboarding and we encourage each other.

Helping with Skateboarding is Fun

Today we celebrate skater girls who help at camps – whether it’s an hour or two camp or an adventure away from home like the amazing Woodward facilities.  It is super inspiring to see girls on the staff.

Hannahwaltman_ shares this group shot from Up Ward Intuition Skate Camp in Pensacola Florida.  She was a helper – I love to see more girls skateboarding and I really love to see more girls giving back through skateboarding.

Skateboarding has introduced me to so many people and taught me so many skills in addition to board skills – how has skateboarding changed your life for the better?  Why do you like encouraging others to skate?

Who else do you want to celebrate for inspiring you to skateboard?  Remember you don’t have to be a girl or even a skater to inspire girls to skateboard – my mom is a huge cheerleader who has never skateboarded.

Yes, I love blogging about skater girls from around the world – and I especially love blogging about new skater girls.  This is Linden and this picture was of her first day on her SkateXS board.

It was actually her first day on a skateboard and she’s rolling on a mini ramp.  Oh if only my feet were small enough for that magical board.  Actually I think it’s Linden that’s magical and I know she sparkles.

So on the sixth day of December – we check in on Florida.  And wish a happy Sunday to Chris Conway who’s in Florida to support a Grind for Life event & yes check out Ramp48skatepark this Monday and you might just see Linden with some pros.
