Who says you can’t do two things at once?  Vivi_melosp shows us she can skateboard for fun & “walk” the dog.

When you’re having fun, you want to share it – so why not share it with your dog?  Some dogs might go to fast, others may pull, and still others may just sit down on the job – but you’ll never know till you try.

Dropped by the 187 Killer Pads office in Carlsbad, CA with Amelia Brodka  187 Killer Team Rider.   We caught up with Gerry Poynter – 187 Killer Employee.

Over ten years ago skater Vinton Pacetti started designing & constructing pads for top athletes.   Before the tour I knew 187 offered tons of options and now I know they are continuously creating new options based on customer input.

You wear pads for safety and as with anything you wear you should wear what works for you. All 187 pads including off the shelf versions come in a variety of colors. Here are just a few of the many options.

There are really endless options because 187 lets you design your own. I saw the treasure box of past fabrics and they had everything from the expected skulls, to Liberace gold lame, to the unexpected Peanuts gang.

I appreciate when a company listens to customers because the customer is the one to wear it and knows what they like. The HOT deal on the web is a customer inspired slim elbow pad. The elastic band is a ½ size smaller for a tighter fit & less bulk.

I enjoyed my time at 187 really getting to know the difference between yellow and gold. Plus Gerry schooled me on how to put my knee pads on correctly. If you want Gerry to school you – let me know & I’ll see if he’ll do an on-line tutorial or if you’re very lucky you might get to learn in person.

I hear Gerry will be at EXPOSURE Skate on November 7^th – that’s the first Saturday in November at Encinitas Community Park to cheer on the skater girls and make sure everybody’s pads are in tip top shape – for real he and Vinton have been known to take the sewing machine on the road to make repairs to pads – that’s how much they really care about athletes staying safe.

Skate Care Hawaii offers premier youth skateboarding instruction, camps and programs operating out of the Hickam hangar.  They are empowering youth thru skateboarding and I love it.  In addition to loving this picture, I love, love, love the group shots were I see rad girls having fun with boys.

I’m on a mission to get more girls skateboarding for fun and keeping it fashionable.  I believe it’s stylish to include everyone in the skateboarding fun so when I see super shredders like Heimana helping and encouraging six year old girls at the skate park I know the future of skateboarding looks bright.

How are you encouraging others to skateboard?  Please share your pictures and stories because more girls do skate as they see girls skateboarding and as the receive encouragement.

When I’m skateboarding – I’m in harmony.  To me skateboarding is rolling yoga because I balance my body, mind & soul.  I might be physically sore after skateboarding but I’m also refreshed and recharged to live my life.

There’s a sense of accomplishment I get when I skate and that confidence follows with me and what I hope other girls will get from skateboarding for fun.  Confidence is stylish on & off the board.

Some days are just bad days, that’s all.  You have to experience sadness to know happiness, and I remind myself that not every day is going to be a good day, that’s just the way it is alinamour

Don’t put pressure on yourself to always be happy.  If you never felt sad – how would you know when you’re having “the best day ever”?

And you can be alone & not lonely – it’s always ok to take time for yourself.  It’s stylish to like yourself on & off the board.

Sometimes the simplest advice is the best.  imkenel97 reminds us to trust yourself and the board.

If you think you’re going to fall – chances are you will and how much fun is it to constantly skate in fear of falling.

Let go of the fear & trust.   Believing in yourself on & off the board is stylish.  Keep sharing your skate pictures and stories because more girls do skateboard as they see other girls skateboard and it’s always easier to believe when you get encouragement!

I love when dad’s inspire their daughters to skateboard.   This is the first time I’ve seen a dad make a skateboard.

Jonasott shared this picture from Denmark.  Originally he made the board for himself now he’s sharing it with Luna.   Skateboarding for fun is all about sharing the fun.  And being able to combine passions – her love of woodwork with skating – so inspiring to me and hopefully you.

Luna won’t be skateboarding alone in Denmark – there are incredible skate parks like Street Dome Skate Park in Hadersley, Denmark.  The Huffington Post : “Top 25 shortlist over the most beautiful buildings in the world from 2014”

Keep it stylish on & off the board and let’s start planning a trip to Denmark – looks like there’s indoor & outdoor skating.

A family that skateboards together – spends quality time together.

This is Charlotte she enjoys skateboarding & long boarding.  Sometimes she even skates with her family.  Another benefit of girls skateboarding is that they can share it with their family.

Charlotte is skating at The Hague, which happens to be a city in Holland.  I didn’t know that Holland was just part of the Netherlands and that it’s divided like states like North & South Dakota.  According to Disween.com it’s about 9,000 km from San Diego area where I live and The Hague where Charlotte is skateboarding with her family.

Once again skateboarding has connected me to another stylish shredder who has inspired me to learn more about my world.  Till next time keep it stylish on & off the board & yes learning new things both on & off the board is super stylish.

I’ve always thought skateboarding was exercise – killer core exercise to just ride.  Lindsey Cowart – who’s bio reads Faith, love, and fitness takes it a lunge further.

This is a great workout using variations of lunges on a longboard, repeat on each leg 4 times – lindseycowart 

Let me say – it’s harder then it looks – so while I encourage everyone to try this at home – work up to variations and repetitions.  Enjoy the journey and celebrate progress!

“Making friends” with your board is a real thing.  If you fear your board your riding skills will be limited.  If your board is your friend, you can have endless adventures together.

The photographer, Patrick loves mountain biking, downhill, snowboarding, skateboarding, and passing the love of action sports to his 7 year old daughter (Xenia in the picture) and his 10 year old son.

So what is Freestyle Academy Stuttgart?  I didn’t know so I googled it.  OMG it is- Snowboarder, Freeskier, Skater, Freeclimber, Parkour, Freerunner oder Biker – the Freestyle Academy Stuttgart has something for everyone! Europe’s biggest and Germany’s first Freestyle Indoor Base is a modern playground for all freestylers. An area of around 1600m² gives you your money’s worth – regardless of whether you are a beginner, intermediate or pro.  

I want to go to Rutesheim, Germany and check this place out.  It looks amazing and I see from the picture of the girls they support girl skateboarding, so this is added to my Bucket List of places to skate.
