This past Spring Break, I was able to visit Belgium. I stayed in Knokke by the North Sea. This was my first time there in the spring. It was much colder, especially windier, than this California girl is used to. However, compare to the showers we’ve been having in San Diego this April, it was dry!
Where did you skate during Spring Break? Hope you share your pictures soon because more girls around the world skate when they see girls having fun skateboarding and we encourage each other.
Have you had fun at the new skatepark in Knokke? If so I’d love to share your stories.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to check out the new pump track in Carmel Valley. It’s open to both bikes and skateboards. I found it four wheel friendly. Actually I found it four wheel fun.
The track is near my high school, so I’m looking forward to riding it more. As for the news about the park, I’m saddened to see and hear that it’s mostly negative.
I felt safe at the park. I was there with skaters, bikers, and scooters. It’s a track so if someone ahead of you was to stop abruptly or you were to fall there is risk that you’d be “run” over. However, there’s risk any time you skate, bike, or scoot.
I am confident that any disagreements at the park are the exception not the norm. It’s my sincere hope that the park remain open to all.
Till next time, I hope we all focus on our similarities rather than our differences because when we do there’s room enough for all of us to enjoy life.
