I love sharing stories about people who help other people skate.  I’ve had some posts on moms learning to skate with their kids or teaching their children but I think this is the first where the daughter is teaching the mom.

When I followed up with her about this post she added yeah it’s great fun and she’s the best teacher!

One of the best things that has happened to me this year is getting on a skateboard and enjoying skating with my kids. I figured that as I was spending so much time in skateparks just watching, I may as well join in as it looked such a fun thing to do. Maybe not the usual thing for a mum in her 30s to participate in, but what the hell. It’s made me appreciate how difficult it is, but it’s so addictive. People just walk past skateboarders in the street and don’t realise the technical complexity and creativity involved in skateboarding. I’m truly inspired by the people and friends I’ve met as well as my 2 lovely children  Mama_treehugger
