When you see an amazing shot like this you have to learn more.

The picture is on Nina Eklof’s IG she’s an archaeologist at the Maritime Museum Sweden, who loves to surf & skateboard.  She’s definitely a girl that sets an inspiring example for other girls.

Ballerinas on Wheels

Alma shares this from Sweden

Hey!
Ella Kennedy from Sweden, age 11. Who said skateboarding and
ballet didn’t go together ? We worked hard to get girls
skate going in Karlstad Sweden. We went from 4 girls to 30
during the autumn. We are mighty proud over this ☺️
Peace
Alma

Where is Karlstad?

Screen shot 2016-04-18 at 8.59.30 AM

According to the web, Karlstad is about 8,800 km from San Diego (where I am).  That I got an email from Sweden to let me know more girls are skateboarding there – fabulous.  More girls skate when they see girls skateboarding and we encourage each other.

Do ballet and skateboarding work together?  Yes – skateboarding is sport and art – adding your ballet, yoga, who you are into your skateboarding is what makes watching skateboarding beautiful and skating fun.

Thanks Alma & Ella for sharing.  And thanks for your patience – they first shared in January, by now there’s more girls skateboarding in Sweden & Happy Belated Birthday to Ella who is now 12!

Lisakindberg skates what she finds – literally she found a fridge laying around and decided to do something with it, lika a cheeky Lil ride on the wall I’m almost 30 and I still jump off stuff on a skateboard.  That smile on my face shows I need to do it more often.  My decision to go skateboarding today was in honor of you Gisa, RIP. photo Alex

You’re never to young or old to skateboard or start skateboarding.  I’m sorry for your loss Lisa and appreciate you sharing how skateboarding makes you happy.

BTW – Lisa is Swedish currently based in Lennox Head/Byron Bay, Australia – stylish girls skateboard around the world.
