Ana00love Skateboarding in Italy

anna1

Anastasia is an 11 year old from Milano, Italy and she’s looking rad as she goes over the coping.

Skateboarding and fashion encourage me to explore the world.  And thanks to my skateboard it will be easier to make friends as I travel.  Keep it stylish wherever you travel!

Live Your Life On & Off the Board

germany

In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count.  It’s the life in your years.  – Madeleine in Thuringia, Germany

No matter where you are in the world – live your life – don’t play it so safe you never live. There are risks in skateboarding there are risks in everything.

There are people around the world who say NO, NEVER, CAN’T and there are people around the world you say YES, TODAY, CAN!

I choose to be with the people living their lives on & off the board!

Skateboard Today

marcia

2 years ago in May, I finally started skateboarding. As cheesy as it sounds, skateboarding was something I’ve wanted to do since I was little but I had to overcome a lot of obstacles to make it happen. Despite that, it was the best choice I’ve ever made and I could make a long list of all the amazing things it has brought into my life, but I’ll keep it short and just say #thankyouskateboarding. – Marica Garcia

Doesn’t sound cheesy to me!  So many people spend so much time wanting and thinking rather than doing – me included. Thank you skateboarding for pushing me out of my comfort zone and giving me the courage to try so many things on and off the board.

Skater Girl Doll

barbie skate

I did not have a doll this rad when I was growing up. I just love that she’s on the scene now.

Many girls look to dolls as role models or what “big” girls can do.  How awesome it is when dolls look like real girls and do fun things.

Thanks Leah in Toronto @dollinterrupted sorry you grew up skateboarding with no female role models but stoked you did something about it – you created her.

Keep it stylish on and off the board by being or creating the change you want to see.

Support Other Girls. Period.

Met this BADASS skater and the ONLY GIRL competing at #SPoTTampa @SPoTTampa  Gretchen

I saw the picture above and read that tag and I had to get to know her too.

She’s Meagan Guy and she’s definitely keeping it stylish and fun. I’m not a serious competitor, but I have respect for people with true sportsmanship.  Meagan you are definitely being a Glen CoCo keep shredding and showing the world girls can skate.

Pick Up Your Sisters

1

This is Daniela Garcia and you can see her doing some fun tricks and offering solid advice on her Instagram.

I especially love the quote above because we should act like sisters and be there for each other. Skateboarding involves falling – it’s always easier to get back up when you’re with a friend and can laugh together.

Laughter like smiling never goes out of style on or off the board!

Fun in Finland

fin1

The first time I saw Helena skate it was with the caption:  _helenana Young girl from Finland who loves longboarding so much.

I said– let’s get that girl on the blog.  Here she is and she’s happy to share her picture.  I always say keep it fun and when you love something it makes it easy to keep it fun.

More girls skate as they see girls skating and having fun – where are you having fun skateboarding?

Stylish Pink Helmet

heidi

I just love how Heidi topped off her skate outfit with a cute helmet. Ok helmets aren’t cute like the rest of her outfit but in comparison to most helmets this one with the pop of pink is stylish.

Till next time keep it fun & stylish on & off the board. Remember it’s your choice to wear or not wear a helmet. If someone is telling you it’s not cool or bullying you about wearing a helmet – well that’s just not stylish.

And if the sign says fine for not wearing a helmet – believe it – I know people who’ve gotten tickets – still your choice just know the risk.

dylan

Beylea is 22 months and she enjoys skateboarding and surfing.  Her inspiration big brother Dylan!

Huge shout out to Dylan for taking time to spend quality time with his sister and encouraging her to just try things.  I love skateboarding with my dad and I would skateboard with my little bro.  He doesn’t skate – he totally supports me!

Skateboarding doesn’t make you a better person  – supporting others to be their best on & off the board that’s what’s stylish.

Who bullied who?

Today I was accused of bullying because I stood up for a friend of mine. I don’t regret standing up for my friend. One of the reasons I blog is because I’m not afraid to use my voice and say what I like and don’t like.

I learned the hard lesson that texts are not a good way to communicate your frustrations, even if you didn’t say anything mean. I also learned that texts conversations can be edited and then printed. And unfortunately I found out not everyone is willing to hear your side or look at the texts on your phone.

Everyone makes mistakes – I did even though my intentions were good.

I remain against Bullying and I believe in standing up to Bullies.  I also believe that people who cry Bully – end up like the boy who cried wolf.

Wishing Acceptance, Friendship, Compassion, Kindness & Respect to everyone on & off the board.
